A few accomplishments:

• Through our efforts, 176 Vietnamese workers in Jordan were rescued from exploitation and abuse and 2,600 workers in Malaysia were paid close to $1 million U.S. dollars for back-wages and compensations.
• 2,600 workers, of whom 1,300 are Vietnamese, in Malaysia were compensated close to one million US dollars.
• A national helpline accessible to all 130,000 Vietnamese workers in Malaysia.
• An informational blog set up for Vietnamese workers in Malaysia.
• An international network of volunteers teaching English to workers, and helping workers gain life-changing skills.
• Interns and fellows from the U.S. to join local efforts in Malaysia in the fight against human trafficking.

CAMSA will continue to pursue cases that deal with human trafficking in Southeast Asia.
