Our Approach

CAMSA’s anti-human trafficking campaign has three focuses:

  1. Rescue and protect victims;
  2. Punish traffickers through economic and legal means;
  3. Pressure the governments of the source and destination countries to enact and enforce anti-trafficking laws and policies CAMSA collaborates with other organizations to open offices in countries with a significant Vietnamese population. The purpose of these offices is to develop resources locally, and to help Vietnamese in danger of being a victim of human trafficking.

The first CAMSA office overseas was established in April 2008 in Malaysia. So far this office has handled 30 cases of varying sizes, assisting some 3,000 guest workers.

The average cost of running an office for one year is US$50,000. This budget will cover the expenses of one full-time staff, a team of volunteers, facility rental, and operating expenses. Each individual office has the capacity to help thousands of victims of exploitation or trafficking. Using this comprehensive approach, in two years we have expanded our operation into a network of four office locations in Southeast Asia and Taiwain, helping thousands of victims and creating positive changes to government policies in the region.

With your support and involvement, together we can end modern-day slavery.
